Most Internet marketers and webmasters have heard of being google-slapped, but gator-slapped? Hostgator to be exact.
I recieved an email from hostgator saying: WARNING: gatorxx.hostgator.com: xxxxxx: 298656 inodes. What the heck is an inode??
“To maintain the highest level of performance on our shared servers we have a maximum inode (file) limit of 50,000 inodes (files) per account. The size of the file does not matter, only the number of files. For example, a DVD image (say, 4.5gb) only counts as one inode, or file. Our limit, as outlined in our terms of service, is 50,000 files per account. We generally don’t hold people strictly to this limit, but at the same time we expect our users to respect the limits of the system…”
Most people who access the internet have some sort of spyware, malware or adware on their PC. Only you can take care of your PC Security, you can not count on someone else to do it for you, nor just deal with problems when they come. There are PC Security softwares available for free to help with the prevention of these threats.
