Wordpress 2.8 is released as “Baker” in honor of trumpeter and vocalist Chet Baker.

Subscribe2 is a great plugin for alerting your subscribers by email when you make a new post. My problem was that on another one of my blogs I have a download section of selected ebooks for my subscribers to download. I had to manually email the subscribers the password to access the downloads every time someone subscribed.

I recently was made aware of the issue of using the name “Wordpress” in a domain name. It is a trademark which is not allowed to be used in domain names. You should read about it here.
“WordPress” in sub-domains is fine, like wordpress.example.com, we’re just concerned about top-level domains.
